Smita Yedekar

Smita Yedekar founded Smartsourcing Global in 2006, where she has been able to share with clients her keen interest in evolving technology and the smart use of global teams to achieve business goals.

Prior to founding Smartsourcing Global, Smita had a distinguished career in software development that spanned nearly a decade. She was a software engineer and development manager at DoubleClick (now part of Google) for over seven years. In this role, she led many projects and framework development teams. She also managed offshore development efforts, analyzed issues with global software development, and instituted innovative solutions. Was then recruited by Community Connect, a leading online niche social-networking company.

Smita’s innate understanding of the interconnection between business and technology has allowed her to develop and continually expand on the custom processes of her global teams. Under her leadership, the company has diversified its offerings, adding leading edge mobile applications and interface, and has become synonymous with high productivity and strong communication between the SSG team and its US and international clientele in an ever-widening variety of industries.

Smita holds Bachelors Degree in Physics, and a Masters degree in Computer Applications.

Rohit Jain

Rohit Jain leads all technical efforts at Smartsourcing Global He joined the company early in its inception, following nearly a decade of experience in software development and multiple technology applications. Rohit’s professional knowledge spans many verticals, including Internet companies, Fortune 500 financial institutions, and remote data center management firms. He specializes in J2EE enterprise solutions and various web technologies, and has a keen interest and expertise in developing secure and scalable software solutions. Rohit has also architected scalable solutions on Ruby on Rails, open source libraries, Flex and many other technologies. He is also leading the company’s most recent growth: providing enterprise mobile solutions.

Rohit has received many accolades from clients for his strong ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, as well as for his great aptitude for understanding his clients’ business needs. He works closely with clients to build architectural solutions and leads the technical teams in the development of the highest quality software products.

Rohit holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce, a Masters degree in Computer Management, and a post-graduate diploma from C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing).

Julien Sharp

Julien Sharp is an industry-recognized social strategist, copywriter, and marketer. Her strengths include conceptualizing and producing engaging content for websites, social networking sites, blogs, mobile apps, and marketing and public relations pieces.

In this consulting role at Smartsourcing Global, Julien directs all corporate messaging, public relations, and social media content across a variety of platforms, managing a team of two writers and bloggers. She also works with clients to connect them with the newest technological advances in communications, providing written content and creative services as needed. She helps clients from many industries manage the content and direction in social media site builds and community growth.

Julien is the author of Design and Launch an Online Networking Business (Entrepreneur Press: 2009) and contributing author to the NY Times best seller Masters of Sales (Entrepreneur Press, 2007).

Julien holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, a Masters degree in Psychology & Business Systems, and has studied digital marketing at NYU’s School of Continuing & Professional Studies

Melanie Hughes

Melanie Hughes is the Chief Human Resources Officer for the fast-growing members only shopping site Gilt Group. She joined the company with more than 20 years of experience in human resources, organizational development and change management in the technology, finance, consumer goods and retail sectors. Most recently, she was the president of Org4Change, and prior to that, she was the senior VP of HR for Coach. Melanie has also served as the senior VP of global human resources at DoubleClick, and she set up the European recruitment programs for Guinness PLC and Swiss Bank Corporation. Melanie holds a BSc. Honors from Brunel University, London, and an M.B.A. from INSEAD in France. In her spare time, she dedicates herself to not-for-profit education and leadership-training programs.

Gap Kovach

Gap Kovach has served as Chief Executive Officer of HESCO, an operating supplies procurement and provision cooperative, since 1976. In addition, he serves as the Chairman of the Cooperative Development Foundation, the Chair of the Mutual Service Cooperative Fund, and Chairman of the Board of Florida Citrus Business and Industry Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation Fund. He represents HESCO in the National Cooperative Business Association and the Polk Economic Education Council. He is a Director on the Board of Community Southern Bank in Lakeland and Bartow, and is a past President of the Florida Citrus Showcase and the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of Lakeland.

Prior to joining HESCO, Gap was the Manufacturing Manager of Union Camp Corporation’s Lakeland, Florida, Corrugated Container Plant. He received a B.A. from Lake Forest College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa; he received his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.

Shreekrishna Sawant

Shreekirshna Sawant has enjoyed a varied, progressive career. He is renowned for his ability to spot opportunities, negotiate and close deals, and build successful teams. He is currently the Chief Coordinator (CEO) for Deepak Novochem Ltd., where he is responsible for all P&L for the company, as well as reporting it to the Board of Directors.

Prior to this, Mr. Sawant was the Head of Human Resources for Deepak Nitrite, Ltd., where he was responsible for organizing and phasing a company reorganization; and the Head of Global Sourcing for Rallis India Ltd. He also held several positions in technical management for ICOR (TATA Group Initiative for Integrated Cost Reduction).

Mr. Sawant holds a Bachelor of Technology in Petrochemicals, and an Executive MBA.
