Skills Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of SDLC processes, methodologies and frameworks used for Product Development
• Extensive hands on experience with entire project life cycle, specifically in web applications area. (Java, J2EE, .Net/ C, C++). Experience with PHP, Ruby On Rails, Flex project is a big Plus.
• Good database skills, exposure to at least one of these databases – Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Informix, Sybase

Skills Requirements

• 3-5 Years of experience in testing middleware and backend servers, ability to "dig deeper"
• Thorough knowledge of Linux environment, Protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, FTP), web applications, web servers and PHP application servers
• Experience in functional testing
• Experience in automated testing using Open Source tools and writing scripts
• Must have white box testing experience
• Exposure to web technologies is crucial. Must understand Internet/web domain concepts, and vocabulary
• Proficiency in SQL and should be able to troubleshoot querying database and analyzing log files.
• Thorough knowledge of HTTP, J2EE architectures (deployment, server architecture etc) – critical
• Experience with Ad Serving solutions (OpenX preferred), Search engines, high data volume, Web crawlers is a big plus
• Exposure testing front end (HTML, AJAX based clients)

Responsibilities

• Understand the products from end user and technical architecture perspective.

• Actively contribute to process improvement
